In the dynamic area of breast cancer, there is a real need for a new and reliable platform for educational growth and patient resources for oncologists and other healthcare professionals who treat patients with breast cancer. These healthcare professionals need to become part of a “Community of Care” that provides timely educational updates, shares resources for patient use during interactions, and promotes best practices in communication and shared decision-making. It is vital that we have healthcare providers in our Community of Care who are armed with the resources available to EMPOWER their patients to make the best treatment and management choices from among the options available to them.
This website is designed to serve as a source of continuous learning for healthcare professionals as well as a tool to share with patients to educate them about breast cancer and engage them in their care. The site includes both HCP and patient facing toolkits, a calendar of educational events, and a variety of resources like personalized posters that can be ordered for use in the practice setting.
